The Office of International Affairs (Diretoria de Relações Internacionais – DRI) organizes partnerships with undergraduate courses at UFMG to offer regular classes, intensive courses, and online classes for international students to develop proficiency in Portuguese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In partnership between DRI and undergraduate courses, UFMG offers classes focused on English proficiency in the academic field centered on international mobility, presentations at conferences, and academic paper writing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cenex FALE<\/span><\/i><\/summary>

Cenex FALE is an Extension Center related to the Faculty of Letters (Faculdade de Letras – FALE), focused on language teaching such as English, Spanish, German, French, Korean, Portuguese as a Foreign Language, and classical languages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confucius Institute<\/span><\/i><\/summary>

Confucius Institute (Instituto Confúcio) is a partnership between UFMG and Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), providing Mandarin classes, cultural activities, scholarships in China, and proficiency tests to the UFMG community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celpe-Bras<\/span><\/i><\/summary>
\n

Celpe-Bras is a test that certifies proficiency in Portuguese as a Foreign Language to the international community, being the only test officially recognized by the Brazilian government. The Celpe-Bras is mandatory  for admission to undergraduate courses and postgraduate programs as it is mandatory to validate diplomas of foreign professionals who intend to work in Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cenex FALE, an Extension Center at UFMG, is one of the places where the Celpe-Bras test is applied. For more information, please click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
